How to Manually Install TikTok Pixel on Shopify?
To run TikTok ads, you must install the TikTok pixel in your store. If you can't use the official TikTok app because it is not available in your region, don't worry—you can still install it manually.
Create Your TikTok Pixel
To install your TikTok pixel, you need to create it first. You can do that when you follow these steps:
- Open TikTok Business in a new browser tab.
- Log in to your TikTok account (or sign up if you haven’t yet).
- Once you’re in, look for Tools in the menu and hover your mouse over it.
- Click on Events, then hit Web Events.
- Now, find Create Pixel and click it.
After you create your TikTok pixel successfully, you need to set it up.
Set Up the Pixel
Follow these steps to finish setting up your pixel:
- Pick Manual Setup (skip the Partner option).
- Click Next.
- Give your pixel a name.
- Hit Next again.
- Now, choose your event settings
- Click Next when you’re ready, then Finish to wrap it up.

Install Your Pixel Manually
Once your pixel is fully created, you can proceed with installing it in your store. Here’s how to install it in your Shopify store manually, step by step:
Step 1: Copy Your Pixel Code
- Open your TikTok Business dashboard and go to Settings.
- Find the TikTok Pixel section and hit View Base Code.
- Copy everything in that box.
Step 2: Drop the Code Into Your Shopify Theme
- Log in to your Shopify admin.
- Go to Online Store, then Themes.
- Click the three dots next to Customize and choose Edit Code.
- Look for theme.liquid on the left and open it.
- Find the <head> tag in the code.
- Paste your TikTok pixel code right between <head> and </head>.
- Click Save.
Step 3: Add the Code to Checkout
- In Shopify, go to Settings, then Checkout.
- Scroll down to Additional Scripts.
- Paste your TikTok pixel code in there.
- Click Save.
Great job! Your TikTok pixel is now live on your Shopify store, ready to track events and conversions right away.
